1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use and End User License Agreement ("Terms") apply to your use of Couple Quiz ("the App"), provided by Progity ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of the Service

Couple Quiz is a light-hearted paired quiz game in which two people take turns guessing how well they know each other across themed categories. By default the game is played by two people on a single device; it also offers an optional online mode for playing from two separate devices.

The App is intended for entertainment only. It is not a relationship, counselling, medical, or professional advice service, and its questions and results should not be treated as such.

3. Eligibility

You may use the App only in compliance with applicable laws and the rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable.

If you are a minor, you should use the App only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Online Play and Pairing

The App offers an optional online mode in which you can pair your device with another device using a short pairing code or a QR code. You are responsible for deciding who you share a pairing code or QR code with, and for the display name you choose.

When you use online play, game data is synchronised through our backend, and push notifications (such as turn reminders) may be sent. Push notifications and synchronisation may be delayed, blocked, or not delivered at all due to network conditions, device settings, operating system behaviour, notification permissions, battery-saving features, third-party service outages, or other factors outside our control.

Online play and notifications are provided for convenience and entertainment. You should not rely on the App when guaranteed or immediate delivery is required.

5. Game Content

Questions, categories, and other game content are delivered to the App from our servers and may be added, changed, translated, or removed at any time. Some content may touch on personal or relationship topics; it is provided for fun and is not directed at any specific individual.

The App keeps a local copy of the question content so it can be played offline once downloaded. An internet connection is required for the initial download and for periodic refreshes.

6. Purchases, Premium, and Question Packs

The App offers a free base version, an optional Premium upgrade, and separately purchasable question packs.

• Premium unlocks the additional content included in the offer and removes ads.
• Question packs unlock specific additional categories of questions.
• The price, what is included, and any renewal or one-time terms are shown in the App before purchase.
• Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you made the purchase.
• If a purchase is offered as an automatically renewing subscription, it renews unless cancelled according to the rules and deadlines of the relevant platform, and can be managed through your Apple or Google account settings.
• Refunds are handled under the refund policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play.

7. Ads

The free version of the App may contain advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Premium removes ads while it is active. Where required by law, the App will ask for your advertising consent before showing personalised ads.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App responsibly and lawfully. You must not:

• Use the App to harass, bully, threaten, intimidate, or otherwise harm another person, including through a paired device.
• Submit content, names, answers, or feedback that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, or infringes the rights of others.
• Attempt to bypass limits, payment requirements, security measures, or technical restrictions.
• Interfere with, disrupt, overload, or damage the App, our backend systems, or third-party services used by the App.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, copy, or create derivative works of the App except where this cannot be prohibited by applicable law.
• Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or inappropriate purposes.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, brand, design, software, graphics, questions, and related content are owned by Progity or their respective owners and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with the rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play.

10. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services, including Apple, Google, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform, RevenueCat, and hosting and push notification providers.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms, policies, and technical requirements. We are not responsible for third-party platforms, stores, payment systems, push services, or other services that we do not control.

11. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected and used in connection with the App.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Progity does not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, available at all times, or that content, synchronisation, or every notification will be delivered, delivered immediately, or displayed as expected.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer protection laws.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Progity is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of use, missed or delayed notifications, service interruptions, third-party service failures, or decisions you make based on use of the App, including decisions based on game questions or results.

This limitation applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or another legal theory. It does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.

Your continued use of the App after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms, unless applicable law requires a different form of notice or consent.

15. Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, create risk for other users or our services, or if we are required to do so by law or platform rules.

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Subscription cancellation must be handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play account used for purchase.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the country where Progity is established, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
